Vintage alkaline diets for health, in the early naturopathic tradition.
Australian born Alice Caporn, PhD, born 1875, trained as a Naturopathic Doctor and Osteopath in the United States. Alice is also known for her involvement in reform of the Christian Science church in the early 20th century. She believed in the body as an instrument to fine tune the mind and senses for deeper connection.
Naturopath Dorothea Snook was a high profile healer in Perth, Western Australia, during the 1970s and 80s. She was trained as a naturopathic doctor by Alice Caporn. Mrs Snook inherited the alkaline diets and early 20th century nature cure traditions. Her much requested “green” book, ‘What a way to go!’ is now available, only in print.
